Privacy notice

Kernelia collects the minimum amount of data possible. We don't use third-party analytics, we don't share data with advertisers, and we only store what's strictly needed for the newsletter to work.

Last updated: 19 May 2026

Weekly newsletter

When you subscribe we store your email, the language you picked and the list of categories you'd like to receive. Plus a random token so you can unsubscribe or change preferences in one click, no password. That's it.

Tracking pixel

Each weekly digest embeds a 1x1 transparent pixel that tells us whether you opened it. We only record the first open per send (timestamp). We don't log IP or mail client. Apple Mail Privacy and other clients that pre-load images inflate this metric — we treat it as directional, not reliable.

Retention and deletion

If you unsubscribe we mark the row inactive but keep the email so we don't accidentally re-send after an accidental resubscribe. You can request full deletion by contacting the author (link in the footer). Catalog articles are purged after two years from their publish date; articles the agent rejects are deleted after seven days.

Third parties

We use Resend to deliver confirmation and digest emails. We use Supabase as our database. Both services see your email strictly to the extent needed to deliver the email or persist the subscription. There are no other processors.

Cookies

The site doesn't use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. If you subscribe to the newsletter, a minimal technical cookie is used to manage your preferences session. It is not shared with third parties and is not used to track you.

Contact

For any question or request (access, rectification or deletion of data) you can reach us by writing to admin@kernelia.dev.
